The Öland Bridge is Öland's fixed link with the mainland. It stretches between Svinö just north of Kalmar and Snäckstrand north of Färjestaden. It is a 6072 meter long girder bridge and has a sail-free height of 36 meters and a free bridge width of 13 meters. The highest height is 41.69 meters, the lowest height is 6.65 meters. The bridge is built of reinforced concrete in 155 spans, of which the high bridge part in 6 spans of 130 meters span.
The bridge was inaugurated on September 30, 1972 and was then Europe's longest bridge.
