Trindborgen or Löts borg is located at Valsnäs, only 500 meters from Löts church. The ringfort is relatively large with an inner diameter of 139-155 meters. It is surrounded by a strong stone wall, up to 2.2 meters and with a width of six meters. There are two gates, one to the west and one to the southeast. The ringfort was described in 1825 by A. Ahlkvist, who noted that the castle had remains of house remains that could be compared to Ismantorp. The castle has for the most part been cultivated, but apart from a bronze fitting and bones, no other finds have been made. It is probable that the castle was used by the people in Valsnäs but also by the other villages in the area.
The ringforts on Öland are traditionally dated to the time of migration (400-550 AD). Today it is known that many are built earlier than that. They were built as a defense in external attacks, but several have also served as trading posts.
